Vikings Release Final Injury Report
Chris Cook and Jimmy Kennedy are officially listed as out for tomorrow night’s sure-to-be-epic clash with the Saints.  Cook is recovering from a knee injury suffered in the last preseason game, while Kennedy continues to battle the bad knee that has bothered him for a couple of weeks. The news is better on John Sullivan.  Last year’s starting center missed all of preseason with a calf injury, but he has been steadily recovering and is now listed as probable.  Jon Cooper would start if for some reason Sullivan is not able to go. Husain Abdullah Will Likely Start at Safety
Nothing is official yet, but all indications are that when the Vikings take the field Thursday night against the Saints, Husain Abdullah will be lining up at starting safety alongside Madieu Williams. Abdullah’s promotion is something of an out-of-leftfield development, given that all training camp and preseason the competition for that spot was between Jamarca Sanford and Tyrell Johnson.
