Minnesota Vikings Team News:

Well the team is 2 and 8 and I can honestly say I didn’t think we would be here. Green Bay really beat us and I think this stung the team as well as it did me. The only thing I can say about this game is: remember this game; we’ll chat again in the future. We’ll get our chance again and that victory will be even sweeter.

The Raiders game wasn’t much better from an emotional standpoint. This was a home loss and another game we were in at the end. All the Raiders fans I talked with were thankful that Adrian was out for three-quarters of the game, not because that wanted to see Adrian injured, because they felt they would have lost if he had played the entire game; they knew we could have won.

From here on in I expect to see incredible effort from our guys. This is a brutally honest game and nobody wants to put on tape they quit. Actually our record could be what loosens the team. Our guys need to make plays; they need to play on the same page all game. Maybe there’s no fear of making a mistake now or thinking about what they need to do next. At this point all they need to do is play with their hearts; play with the same passion that allowed them to become professional football players in the first place. I’m a believer that nobody makes it to the NFL wanting a contract; they make it because they love the game and are willing to make any sacrifice required to play at the elite level of the NFL. What allows certain players to rise above the rest is passion for the game – this is what I’m looking for from here on in.

As fans we need the same passion; anyone can get behind a winning team, a real fan sticks with his/her team during the tough times.

Club News:

The Denver Broncos game on December 4th has been rescheduled to 10:00am Pacific time. This is part of the NFL’s flex scheduling; please change your calendars to reflect this change.

I want thank everyone for supporting our canned food drive for the Orange County Food Bank. Once again your generosity was fantastic and I’m proud to be a part of this group. This year in particular the food bank has been low; the lingering economy has really hurt their support. So; thanks again, I’m glad we were able to continue our support.

Our Helmets for the Holidays drawing is beginning: this year we have an autographed jersey by Jared Allen and a mini helmet/football set by Alan Page as prizes. The drawing will be December 24th at the Redskins game. You do not need to be present to win.
